Re: Recent reviews
I just keep reviewing them so they rotate through the front page... like this http://www.archive.org/details/kodra
It's national geographic video being used to make some stupid anit american point I am sure. Exposing the spam, bootleg and jihadi stuff is part of what I do. I feel it's the least I can do to send a message to these fraudsters and scam artists. That is what they are, selling a lie. It just amazes me that more folks on here are not outraged and no one does anything about it. Check the meta date under the HTTP link and you can get the uploaders emails, most are bogus, I verified this. The spambots and terrorists are of the same ilk, pushing their shit on others who come here for sounds, images and other stuff to create with or just enjoy on it's own. It's a damn shame really.
I have suggested these things to mods in email and forum posts numerous times:
1. Valid email verification.
2. Prohibit realmedia format.
3. Cross check file types to collection target.
4. Make the following fields mandatory:
C. Copyright attribution
D. key words
That would solve most of it.
Other than that, I have no idea.
The 'live music archive' section in here has stringent upload polices so any excuse to me is unacceptable. If they can reject someone for not uploading a flac file or something I find it hard to believe they cannot stop the numerous duplicate IED videos that just keep coming.
